First Nature Notes
May 2019
First Nature Foundation’s very first “Not-Quite-Open House” was a great success. Thanks to those 100 or so of you who came out to celebrate the first phase of our development and wish us success. It was a fun time, even with the intense lovebug invasion that day.
Thanks to Harmony resident Fafa Kersaint, who dedicated his day to documenting our not-quite-open house.

Many blessings were bestowed on us, both as permanent fixtures on the walls of our garage, and in that we raised more donations than we projected, while we kept expenses within budget..

We are getting closer to having barn drawings to submit to the county for permitting, and now we are in the process of getting quotes on covering our arena so that we can run programs in the brutal Florida summer, during hot sunny days or rainy ones. Here’s a photo of the type of arena I’m looking to get installed at First Nature Ranch.

Meanwhile, we painted our hay shed the same color as our other buildings, and had a gutter installed on our shed to prevent washout to our dry lot.

Since we’ve had a number of inquiries about riding lessons, I’m now reaching out to some professionals to see if they would be interested in coming to FNR one or two days a week to offer lessons at our facility. If you’re interested, let me know, please, and I’ll put you on a list to contact when I have more information for you (background on the professional/ days available /costs / etc.).

Looking forward to seeing you soon at First Nature Ranch!
