Horseplay for Leaders! An Introduction

Is your team engaged, motivated, and committed to performing at their best? Are you retaining your top talent? How effective are you at leading? Take communication, for example. It isn’t just about what you say, and not even just about how you say it. In this introductory course, learn what really makes the difference in bringing out the best in your people, and in yourself as a leader. Join us for Horseplay For Leaders on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 10am – 3pm for a fun, innovative, experiential course in which you’ll partner with…horses (yes, horses!) to hone key leadership skills. There’s no riding involved, and it’s totally okay if you have a fear of horses. This playshop is a combination of in-classroom learning and outdoor in-the-sand and in-the-moment experiential learning. You'll be treated to a relaxed and fun atmosphere within the peaceful sanctuary of First Nature Ranch, which is First Nature Foundation's facility for conducting our nonprofit's programs. We'll spend some of our time in the air conditioned classroom, and some time out in the covered arena with the horses, who will be our partners in enhancing our communication and leadership skills. The playshop agenda is designed so that each piece of it builds on what preceded it, so that the learning is deepened throughout our time together. Our time outside will almost entirely be in the shade, but you'll need to wear clothes and closed-toe shoes that can stand some dirt.
